“With the arrival of spring, Kapha dosha increases.” A well-known teaching from the Charaka Samhita (one of the foundational texts of Ayurveda) suggests that as nature awakens, so does Kapha—bringing moisture, heaviness, and potential sluggishness.
During spring, accumulated Kapha dosha liquefies due to the rising heat, which can lead to imbalances such as allergies, congestion, and sluggish digestion. Ayurveda recommends light, dry, and warming foods, along with movement and cleansing practices, to restore balance.
Designed for those balancing demanding schedules, this workshop offers practical ways to align with the season and feel lighter, clearer, and more energised.
About Candice
Candice is a Yoga Educator and Abhyanga Therapist. Her personal healing journey led her to further pursue bodywork, specifically, Ayurveda as a healing modality. Ayurveda was the doorway to deepen her relationship with Self, and eventually, she had the privilege to experience the transformative power of Yoga as a way of life, and not just physical postures executed on the mat.
In her people-centric vocation, she came to cherish the solitude and silence that meditation offers to develop intimacy with the Self. To Candice, self-practice (Sadhana) and scriptural study (Svadhyaya) are two pillars that shape her version of a heart-centered life. Her studies include the completion of 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, 100-hour Meditation Facilitator Training, Trauma-Informed Somatic Training, Ayurvedic Bodywork Trainings, as well as her continuous learning of Yogic Philosophy.
It is Candice’s goal to offer a safe and non-judgmental space for sincere seekers to learn and explore the wisdom of Yoga & Ayurveda.
