Yoga Foundations Workshop

One of the most important concepts in yoga comes from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras (2:46):

“Sthira Sukham Asanam” — the yogi who arrives in the seat (asana) finds the balance of steadiness (sthira) and ease (sukha).

Patanjali goes on to describe the eight-fold path (ashtanga) toward liberation from suffering, within which postural practice (asana) becomes a way to deepen our relationship with body and mind.

In this four-part series, the practice unfolds from the tangible to the subtle — from body to breath, and from breath to prana. Through mindful asana, breath awareness, and embodied inquiry, we move from cultivating steadiness and ease to awakening to the intelligence of prana that animates all life.

Part One: Body to Breath

15 Nov: Landing into the Body

Explore body awareness, points of anchor, and safety within the body — cultivating steadiness (Sthira).

22 Nov: Stability Meets Mobility

Learn to balance steadiness with spinal and joint fluidity — embodying ease (Sukha).

Part Two: Prana beyond the Breath

6 Dec: Presence as Practice

Integrate the balance between effort and ease, arriving in full embodied awareness — bringing Āsanam to life.

13 Dec: The Dance of Prana

Close this journey by attuning to the unseen mover within. Let the breath shape form and stillness, guiding you into the quiet intelligence of embodied being.

What to Expect in a 90-Minute Class?

  • A guided āsana sequence with a deep dive into the purpose and function of selected postures.

  • Variations, refinements, and explorations to help you integrate these practices into daily life.

You may choose to attend one part, or commit to the full journey for an integrated experience.

For those attending all four dates will receive an additional 1:1 session (online or in-person) to design a 20-minute self-practice tailored to your lifestyle, body, and mind.

Her comprehensive training in Yoga, Ayurveda, and Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapy equips her with the knowledge to inspire transformation—from the self, through the self.
