Sacred Bodywork Ceremony for Mothers of All Journeys

Honouring Ma

A rite of reverence for the full spectrum of becoming Ma.

We honour the mother, the nurturer, the guide. We acknowledge your journey, your love, your strength. May you be held as you have held others.”

This is a sacred bodywork ceremony for mothers of all journeys—those who have birthed, lost, struggled—and those who are still finding their way. It is an honouring of the journey of becoming, embracing its joys, griefs, transformations and the quiet, unseen labours of love.

This is for the mother who carries stories that society does not always hold. The one who feels both deep love and lingering loss. The one whose body remembers experiences that reshaped her in ways words cannot fully capture. The one who does not always feel like the mother she was told she should be. Here, she is seen, honoured, and held—without expectation, only reverence.

“You are not only a mother—you are a sacred force of nature. May you walk forward feeling deeply loved, deeply honoured, and deeply whole.”

Your Space Holder — Candice

Candice is a certified CIBTAC Ayurvedic Bodywork Therapist and the founder of SOL House. For the past five years, she has held space for mothers and mothers-to-be, always deeply moved by the profound depth of a mother’s love.

She believes that mothers deserve to care for themselves with the same tenderness they once offered their growing wombs—nourishing themselves with love, intention, and reverence. Yet, too often, mothers forget that they, too, need to be held. In their endless giving, they may lose connection with their own sense of self.

This offering was birthed as a sacred space for mothers—to rest, to receive, and to be honoured. Whether you are navigating postpartum, have been a mother for decades, or are carrying loss in its many forms, this bodywork ceremony is here to meet you, exactly where you are.

The Approach

Through intentional bodywork, gentle breathwork, and guided meditation, this ceremony acknowledges the sacred threshold of motherhood and the unfolding journey toward matrescence, the wise woman’s path. It is not about fixing, but about offering rest. Not about erasing, but about integrating. Here, the mother—exactly as she is—is enough.

Coined by Dana Raphael, an American Anthropologist who birthed the word ‘doula’, ‘matrescence’ describes the transformative process of becoming a mother. Held within this word is the transition from maiden to mother.
